Boreh “Bo” in Balinese means “ready”, and “reh” comes from the Balinese word for blood, ”rah”, so Boreh literally means brings your body to life. In the past, farmers returned from their fields after a day’s work standing in the water and tending their crops. In their kitchens, they took a mortar and pestle and hand-crushed local ingredients such as clove, ginger, cinnamon, coriander seeds, rice, turmeric root, and nutmeg, among others. They combined them with water to make a thick aromatic paste and then applied it over their bodies. This aromatic healing body mask kept them warm at night, warding off chills and colds, relief to sore muscles and joints. When the sunrise came up, they had their bath in the river and rubbed the mask away. This ritual prepared them for a new day, while also protecting them from insect bites.

Designed to be activated by you upon use, thus ensuring their vibrancy and superb freshness at the moment of application.

RITUAL
Activate the required amount of Boreh with a little water in a bowl and blend until it forms a smooth paste. Apply it all over your body or just on your back, legs or other body parts (avoiding sensitive areas). After the Boreh has been applied, the body is wrapped in banana leaves by a traditional Balinese SPA method to impart therapeutic properties to the skin. For home use, we recommend using a muslin cloth, bath towel or anything else. Let it work for about 20-30 minutes. Then rub gently with circular motion and rinse with water. Boreh can also be used as an ordinary body mask or scrub.
In case of use including a wrap, it is recommended to use a maximum of twice a month. When used as a body mask or scrub, it is recommended to use 1-2 times a week. For medical purposes once a day for three days.
Note: Avoid the abdominal area during pregnancy. Do not apply to open wounds. Do not use on children under 12 years old.
You may feel hot and itchy during application. This is a common reaction caused by the medicinal properties of the ingredients. If the skin turns red and you feel uncomfortable, rinse the skin with cold water and then apply oil to calm the skin.
